Run feed check
WHEN A FEED IS REJECTED

A repeatable way to fix feed errors.

Use evidence from the failed upload to isolate the problem. Change one proven cause at a time, then compare the result against your previous working feed.

01

Capture the actual failure

Save the processing status, exact error text, affected product IDs and upload timestamp. Distinguish whole-file parse failures from product-level warnings and disapprovals.

02

Inspect the file structure

For parser errors, verify UTF-8, delimiters, quoted fields and expected header names. For XML, confirm the supported RSS item structure and namespaces. Re-export from the source if the file was truncated.

03

Identify the affected fields

For missing items, compare old and new product IDs. For price, stock, GTIN and images, isolate a few affected rows and inspect those exact values against your store and manufacturer records.

04

Correct the source, not just the symptom

Fix upstream field mapping, seller export configuration or catalog records. Use safe normalizers only for known, unambiguous cases. Do not fabricate GTINs, currencies, stock or image URLs to silence an error.

05

Recheck and resubmit a copy

Export a new version, check the row count, compare price and inventory changes, manually sample landing pages, then upload. Monitor the destination account's updated diagnostics and keep the previous accepted feed for rollback.
