What our checks really mean.
We run structural and field-level checks on supported feeds, then show rows that require attention. We don't promise account approval.
Supported input
UTF-8 CSV, tab-separated text and a limited subset of RSS product XML (item entries, including Google g: attributes). This release does not support Excel files, Atom feeds, arbitrary nested supplier XML, remote URL fetching, live HTTP checks, authentication or Google Merchant Center API access.
Limits and safe export
Maximum local file size: 8 MB; maximum 30,000 product records; exported spreadsheet-oriented text neutralizes cells beginning with formula characters. Only mapping, deduplication, header normalization and conversions produce transformed copies. Phase 2 also supports side-by-side local feed comparison by unique ID, field-level diagnostics and safe-value normalization. Unknown values are never guessed.
Merchant rules change
We use simplified checks such as supported availability values and GTIN check digits; Google Merchant Center's official rules are more comprehensive, sometimes vary by category or country, and change over time. Validate your final data against the official specification.
