ACCURACY & TRANSPARENCY
Know what a feed check can prove.
FeedDoctor is a browser-local quality checker, not a merchant-platform account audit. We report patterns in the data you supply; we do not invent unavailable facts or approve products.
What we can inspect
Supported CSV, TSV and limited RSS XML syntax; missing columns and values; duplicate IDs; supplied GTIN check digits; known availability values; unambiguous price syntax; selected variant, shipping and custom-label patterns; and catalog differences using stable IDs.
What we cannot inspect
Remote product or image URL reachability; Merchant Center account status; real shipping/return policies; website checkout; true inventory; live prices; geographic ad eligibility; destination-specific policy decisions; or files larger than the documented local limits.
Why a passing result can still fail
Some merchant requirements depend on the target country, product category, landing page, program and account configuration. A correctly formatted CSV row can still contain a mismatched price, inaccurate stock or a prohibited item.
How to use reports responsibly
Inspect flagged records, cross-check a sample against the real store and correct errors in the source system. Keep previous versions, review the exported file, then check the destination's diagnostic panel after uploading. A local quality score is not a probability of approval.
Browser and export boundaries
Input files are processed in browser memory, with an 8 MB file limit and a 30,000-product limit. Spreadsheet-oriented exports neutralize leading formula characters, and normalization deliberately leaves ambiguous values unchanged. Supported RSS XML is a subset, not a general XML schema validator. Files are not uploaded by the tools; site access and third-party ad/verification scripts may still generate network requests as explained in our privacy page.
Requirements change. Refer to the official Google Merchant Center product data specification and your destination's own diagnostic reports for authoritative details.
