Fix Duplicate Product IDs in a CSV Feed

Find duplicate IDs without deleting legitimate variants or distinct products.

How to diagnose and repair the issue

  1. Run the duplicate ID checker
  2. Inspect all repeated IDs and their associated products
  3. Keep stable unique IDs for distinct products
  4. Ensure variants have separate IDs and shared item_group_id when applicable
  5. Revalidate after exporting the corrected data

Never arbitrarily rename IDs in active campaigns without considering history.

Check the fix

Keep an untouched copy of your source feed. Run the relevant check again, inspect flagged rows and compare a small sample with your store catalog. Merchant Center may apply additional requirements by country, product category and destination.
