How to diagnose and repair the issue

  1. Remove display-only spaces or hyphens
  2. Confirm the expected numeric digit count
  3. Starting from the right, alternate weights of 3 and 1 over data digits
  4. Calculate the final digit needed to reach a multiple of ten
  5. Compare it with the printed code

A correct check digit does not prove an identifier was issued to a product.

Check the fix

Keep an untouched copy of your source feed. Run the relevant check again, inspect flagged rows and compare a small sample with your store catalog. Merchant Center may apply additional requirements by country, product category and destination.
