How to Compare Two Merchant Product Feeds

How to diagnose and repair the issue

  1. Export a dated snapshot of the previous feed
  2. Load the older snapshot as baseline and current snapshot as new
  3. Confirm product IDs are stable and unique in both
  4. Review added removed and changed rows
  5. Verify important price and inventory changes against the store

A changed ID can appear as a removal and an addition rather than a matched update.

Check the fix

Keep an untouched copy of your source feed. Run the relevant check again, inspect flagged rows and compare a small sample with your store catalog. Merchant Center may apply additional requirements by country, product category and destination.
